The Cubro CBR.BYSW-Copper-1-1-R3 Copper Bypass TAP for links (10/100/1000) is the optimum data-link protection selection from electrical spikes/outage or other link problems. Deploy it with an intrusion detection/prevention. Whenever your IDS or IPS systems are offline, the Cubro Copper Bypass TAP will continue data-flow by ensuring that faulty or unavailable devices are bypassed.
The Cubro CBR.BYSW-Copper-1-1-R3 Copper Bypass TAP works by itself but also with a Cubro Packetmaster. Cubro Packetmasters can work as a bypass device with identical functionality on any port and port speed. The Bypass TAP and a Packetmaster allow you to bypass multiple links that are connected to one sensitive device, for example a firewall. This modular concept reduces cost and offers a lot of flexibility.

Use the Cubro Copper Bypass TAP with the Packetmaster EX family to enable Heartbeats. These are sent through the monitor link and analyzed by the Packetmaster EX, allowing for bypass-device failure detection.
